Compared to my peers, I am a relatively outstanding individual. Many people might assume that I put in a great deal of effort, that I must be very diligent, and that I “surely would not let holiday time go to waste without studying”...
Whether you are a parent or a student yourself, please listen to this: I am not hardworking, I am not diligent; on the contrary, I am very lazy.
Indeed, I am not fooling anyone. To speak of the actual situation, people say that the third year of junior high (compared to the first and second years) is a stressful stage because of the upcoming Senior High School Entrance Examination (Zhongkao). Yet, in my third year, for science subjects, I almost never did any homework. During class, I would listen to the lecture while simultaneously doing my own things. From this perspective, many students like me would be considered the underachievers of the class. However, in the Zhongkao, I ranked 7th in the entire county.
It appears that, beyond the traditional “hard work” and “intensive training” in learning, there are other methods, and learning can actually be quite fun.
As long as you clarify the fundamentals, practice problems are equivalent to waste; as long as you are relaxed, playing is equivalent to research; as long as you are full of interest, training classes are equivalent to uselessness.
Allow me to say this boldly: Extra training classes, such as summer training classes, are a form of killing rather than nurturing for 99.9% of people. Because you do not even know where your interest lies!
