[E-book] The Principle of Least Action and the Development of Physics

The Principle of Least Action is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating aspects of physics. In China, there are very few books that discuss the Principle of Least Action, especially regarding its history; this book can be considered the first of its kind and an exploratory attempt. Personally, I feel this book is quite well-written. It generally covers the action principles and their explorations in various fields of physics, including mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, and electromagnetism, providing us with a broad historical perspective. Although some parts involving formulas are not clear enough, I am still willing to recommend it to readers. This article provides an e-book download, for the simple reason that the book seems to be out of print—it is no longer available on Amazon. Interested friends can download and print it.
