Scientific Space was established in March 2009. Although it has undergone some changes, since the second half of 2009, Scientific Space has been growing healthily within the embrace of “Cosmos Station.” Today, Scientific Space is about to turn three years old (March 16 is regarded as the founding day of Scientific Space), while Cosmos Station has already reached its tenth anniversary.
At Cosmos Station, many people, including Dr. Cui, have made unremitting efforts to provide free and superior services for science enthusiasts like us. BoJone feels infinite gratitude for this. I feel a sense of regret for not discovering Cosmos Station sooner; however, although I did not experience the exciting moments of its inception, since I have walked this far with the Station and all the readers, we should continue to walk together.

Ten years ago today, on March 12, 2002, in a small machine room on the third floor of LAMOST at the National Astronomical Observatories, a computer sourced from the Zhongguancun electronics market began its professional career. This was the original Cosmos Station.

I also joined in 2002. I didn’t realize I had been at the Station for nearly 10 years. I moved through n different places before, but this place is the most stable of all. Ten years have passed; perhaps the persistence and passion of youth are no longer there, but the love for the starry sky remains as always. Because of astronomy, I have met many friends and added many warm memories. Joining this circle of interest is definitely a wonderful harvest in life. I hope the future of the Station, under the maintenance of colleagues at the National Astronomical Observatories, will flourish and provide a space for enthusiasts from all over the world who love the starry sky to share and gallop freely.

Ten years. When I first applied, because I didn’t understand any technology, my account was closed due to inactivity. Later, in the reply to my second application, Dr. Cui said, “I’ll give you one more chance,” and this single chance completely changed the trajectory of my life.
