[Click to view image: Another Year of Farming Season]
A thunderstorm last night broke the power lines, resulting in a 20-hour power outage... however, it seems to have been “worth it”—the “fever” (heat wave) has broken, and the weather is much more comfortable now.
These photos were taken a few days ago while I was transplanting rice seedlings in the field with my mother. It is another farming season; as a child born and raised on a farm, I always have many feelings at this time. Having a camera this year, I have recorded this scene.
Life in the countryside is a bit hard, but happiness remains, because happiness comes from within, not from material possessions. The weather has been clear lately, and I can see the Milky Way clearly every night—I have even become accustomed to it. Yet, this is a sight that so many people dream of and are willing to travel long distances just to witness with their own eyes!
