Recently, I have been planning to establish an “Astronomy Olympiad Network,” hoping to provide convenience for astronomy enthusiasts participating in the Astronomy Olympiad, while also uniting enthusiasts to provide a platform for academic exchange. During the website design process, I intended to include the logo of the Chinese National Astronomy Olympiad (CNAO). However, the version provided by the Beijing Planetarium is in JPG format, which makes it difficult to change the background. A PNG format with a transparent background is needed for easier editing. As an ordinary user who is not proficient in Photoshop, I had to turn to Google for help. Finally, I discovered a small piece of software—RecomposIt!
I tried playing around with this software and found that its background replacement feature is quite good (though I only tested replacing solid color backgrounds; see the GIF tutorial below). Here, I would like to share this software with everyone.
