A new version of the solutions to the exercises in Quantum Mechanics and Path Integrals has been released. Unlike the previous two updates, where each version essentially completed the exercises for two chapters, this update only adds 22 exercises from Chapter 6 (there are 29 exercises in total in Chapter 6). There are many reasons for this, and I will not dwell on how busy I have been; primarily, starting from Chapter 6, the problems become increasingly complex and the computational workload grows. Despite being from the mathematics department, I found the progress to be challenging. Furthermore, while Chapters 4 and 5 combined contain only 25 exercises, Chapter 6 alone has 29. Consequently, the workload for this update far exceeds that of the previous two.
Why are there only 22 exercises? Naturally, because they are not yet finished. Why release the update before completion? I feel that the remaining problems are more closely related to Chapter 7. To avoid keeping readers waiting, I will release the remaining exercises together with Chapter 7.
Additionally, I am solving the problems using the Chinese edition. While the translation quality of the Chinese edition is quite good, there are some subtle inaccuracies. As a result, I have to cross-reference both the Chinese and English versions, which is quite tiring. Readers will notice that the “Errata” section has grown considerably in this version.
