Recently, I planned to record the bits and pieces of my past life, so I came up with the idea of finding a writing software. Why? While software like Word can perfectly complete document editing tasks, writing is not the same as writing a thesis. I want a software that can give me a pleasant feeling of writing, which is clearly something that a "giant" like Word cannot handle. After searching online, I found a fairly satisfactory software–CreaWriter.
This is a relatively simple software, about 5MB in size. After installation and running the program, it automatically goes full-screen and displays a background of a sunset by the sea. The middle is the writing area, and it also supports background music playback, which already makes me feel very inspired. Both the background music and background images can be replaced with your favorite ones, so I won’t go into detail. However, this software requires registration. The unregistered version does not support adjusting text formatting (such as font type, bold text, font color, etc.). This is not a major issue for friends who focus on creation, but it is still a small drawback. If you don’t want to pay, this shortcoming can be compensated for with the following trick.
Because CreaWriter supports saving in both RTF and TXT formats, after we save our writing in RTF format, we can use Word for "post-editing" formatting. After modification, opening it again with CreaWriter will maintain the modified format! This trick is quite useful, especially for friends who have requirements for font types. There is a similar software with a similar interface called OmmWriter, which is about 40MB in size and has stronger functions. It also has paid and free versions, but the free version is too limited; even the background image seems uncustomizable. Therefore, I think for friends who focus on writing, CreaWriter should be the best choice.
