Attentive readers might have noticed that the updates on Scientific Space have slowed down recently...
Yes, there have been quite a few things going on lately.
The main thing is preparing for final exams. Although I strongly dislike being buried in exam-oriented education all day, there is no choice. Living on campus, the only capital I have to gain more freedom to pursue my interests is to ensure that my school exams do not fail.
Besides that, there is another matter: I applied for this year’s Peking University Astronomy Summer Camp. I have been busy writing a personal introduction, obtaining recommendation letters, grade certificates, printing materials, etc. One of the requirements was a collection of “representative works,” so I listed and printed some articles from my blog and sent them all via EMS. The results came out yesterday, and to my surprise, I was accepted! Well, I can go visit Peking University on the 11th ^_^ (PKU Homepage).
Oh, and there is also the Math League... and some other trivial matters...
Now it is summer vacation. Our remedial classes start on August 1st. In other words, there is nearly a month of vacation, during which I can probably study some mathematics and physics properly. However, I basically do not like vacations much anymore. After all, once the vacation starts, there are far fewer opportunities to see the people I want to see. On the other hand, it is actually hard to concentrate on studying during the summer break—firstly because of the heat, and secondly because activities this summer take up a lot of time, leaving relatively little time for pure study. Regardless, I will study hard... strive for it.
