Explanation:
Space Shuttle Endeavour in the dawn sky.
On February 21 of this year, Space Shuttle Endeavour and the International Space Station (ISS) streaked across the dawn sky over Whitby, Ontario, Canada. In this single long-exposure image, besides capturing these two spacecraft, many star trails were also recorded. From their tracks near the horizon, Endeavour, bathed in sunlight 350 kilometers above the Earth, slightly leads the International Space Station. The brighter trail and flare come from the International Space Station, which Endeavour had just visited. At the time the photo was taken, the space shuttle mission STS-130 was nearing its end; a few hours later, Endeavour made a night landing at the Kennedy Space Center.
