The ancient and mysterious Voynich manuscript.
This ancient document has no title, no author, and is not even written in any language known to man: what exactly is the content? Why are there so many astronomical patterns on it? This mysterious book was originally purchased by a monarch, then sat on a library shelf, was once sold for thousands of dollars, and was finally donated to Yale University. The book may have been written in the 15th century. Since its (re)discovery in 1912, the 200-plus page manuscript has become known to the world as the Voynich manuscript. The image above is an illustration from the book, the theme of which seems to be related to the sun, with the sky marked by some unfamiliar constellations. The reason modern astronomical historians have no way of understanding the origin of these constellations may be limited by the fact that modern decoders are still unable to interpret the book.
