First Time Photographing a Celestial Body (The Moon)!

Translated by DeepSeek V4 Pro. Translations can be inaccurate, please refer to the original post for important stuff.

Many astronomical photos have already been posted on this website; unfortunately, they were all sourced from the internet or other media, with almost none taken by myself.

This blog post features the very first celestial photo I took tonight (telescope + camera) — the Moon!

Since the beginning of this year, we have experienced far too much cloudy weather. Tonight’s rare appearance of the moon made me eager to point my telescope at it. More importantly, I even photographed it.

The telescope used is a Bosma 114/900. The PL eyepiece is truly different — large field of view and sharp imaging! It is N times better than the previous H eyepiece. I observed the moon carefully to ensure a clear mental image when reading books in the future. At the same time, I traveled back 400 years to experience Galileo’s excitement! In fact, every amateur astronomer should have such a sense of excitement!

This photo is my first attempt, and I only used a standard household "point-and-shoot" digital camera. I took several more photos afterward, but none were as good as this first one!
