In fact, most of the meteor showers described in the table are periodic. Therefore, unless special circumstances arise, this table can serve as a general standard for annual meteor shower predictions (approximate timing). Click the image to enlarge.
Notes:
All times in the table are Beijing Time (CST). Meteor showers with southern radiants that are unsuitable for observation in most parts of China have been omitted.
The Zenithal Hourly Rate (ZHR) is the number of meteors a single observer would see in one hour under a limiting magnitude of 6.5, assuming the radiant is at the zenith. Actual observation results are often smaller than this value.
r is the population index: the factor by which the number of meteors increases for every one-magnitude increase in faintness. The smaller the value of r, the higher the proportion of bright meteors in the shower.
The radiant coordinates provided in the table represent the position of the radiant at the time of maximum activity. This position is treated as fixed in the table; however, for observations conducted outside the peak time, the radiant position should be adjusted accordingly.
This table only provides the radiant coordinates at the peak moment and the general status of the meteor shower during its maximum. Meteor shower members will still appear for a period before and after the peak, though in fewer numbers, and the radiant coordinates will shift over time.
