We have all seen many shadows, but have you ever seen the shadow of the Moon? According to reports from NASA’s Space.com, as the Moon’s shadow swept across the Earth on July 22, millions of people in India and China were looking up; meanwhile, a Japanese satellite was looking down.
This new image, released by NASA’s “Earth Observatory” in collaboration with Japanese researchers, shows a dark spot on our planet covering Taiwan and the surrounding areas at the moment when the Moon was positioned between the Sun and the Earth.
